  • This is a medium sized four-bedroom house in a Modern Contemporary style with a street entrance from the north side. All bedrooms and most of the living areas have been designed to face north and capture maximum light and sun in colder seasons. The main entrance foyer leads to a lounge, dining room and an open plan kitchen. The lounge lives onto a north facing covered patio with a space for a built in braai. The kitchen has a breakfast nook, prep bowl, space for a fridge and an oven, linking to a separate scullery with a back door to the kitchen yard, as well as into the garage. There is also a door from the kitchen yard to the double garage which has an extra length to provide for some storage space. The dining room leads to a court yard between the covered patio and the bedrooms. A pajama lounge or family room is placed between the open plan dining room/kitchen area and the bedroom wings. Large sliding doors ensure that the dining area can be closed off from the pajama lounge. A partly covered patio with large sliding doors connects the pajama lounge to the outside. All along the pajama lounge and bedroom wing, high level windows with a sloped ceiling allow additional sunlight to enter in the winter months, ensuring that this house would need very little additional heating. The main bedroom has a dressing room and an en suite bathroom as well as north facing sliding doors onto a private patio and court yard area. A bathroom with a free standing bath, shower, WC and a vanity top with two basins. These spaces ensure that the main bedroom suite is very private and separated from the rest of the house. Bedroom two and three are both north facing with built in cupboards. An open plan study area and linen cupboard lead from the pajama lounge to the bedroom passage. A bathroom for bedroom two and three has a separate WC, a basin and a shower, which doubles up as a guest toilet. Bedroom three has an en suite bathroom with a bath, WC and a vanity top with a basin. An external store room for garden tools is provided next to the main bathroom.
